1855, 10¢ green, type IV (Scott 16), position 76L1, expertly removed cancellation, absolutely spectacular example of this elusive type IV stamp, outer line recut at bottom, with enormous margins of epic proportions including a nice portion of adjoining stamp at bottom, and fabulous fresh color, this stamp could easily pass as unused as there is virtually no trace of any cancel and would catalog for an impressive $15,000 as such; a truly remarkable appearing stamp that would stand out in any collector’s album; two tiny thins, otherwise Extremely Fine to Superb, 2014 P.S.E. certificate.
