3c Rose, Vertical Pair, Imperforate Horizontally (Scott 65d). Top sheet margin vertical pair, unused (no gum), large margin at bottom, choice centering, rich color EXTREMELY FINE. A GORGEOUS PAIR OF THE 3-CENT 1861 ISSUE IMPERFORATE HORIZONTALLY. ESPECIALLY DESIRABLE WITH THE TOP SHEET MARGIN. The number of 3c 1861’s released imperforate horizontally is not known, but they are very rare in any form. The multiples come with and without original gum.
