A WONDERFUL EXAMPLE OF THIS SCARCE TEN-CENT LOUISIANA PURCHASE PLATE BLOCK OF SIX AND ESPECIALLY DESIRABLE IN THIS MINT NEVER-HINGED POST OFFICE CONDITION. Louisiana Purchase plate blocks with extra wide top sheet selvage are much scarcer and more valuable than plate blocks with typical “half selvage” width.
