o 1917, 2¢ deep rose, type I from the type Ia sheet (499 var.), bottom plate no. 10208 single (position 95L from the lower left pane), bright, fresh and lightly canceled with the distinct deep rose color of Scott #500, F.-V.F. and quite rare. Estimate price $400 – 500 EXCEEDINGLY RARE, IF NOT UNIQUE AS A USED PLATE NUMBER SINGLE. This plate number single is one of only two type I stamps in the sheet of 400 type Ia (the other being 96L from the same pane), and the only one that can be positively identified due to the presence of a plate number.
