Scott #1b, 5c Orange brown, an exceedingly rare sound mint example of this scarce and distinctive shade, featuring ample to huge margins all around, warm characteristic color and a crisp impression on fresh bluish paper, while its reverse reveals full clean original gum which has only been light hinged, very fine and choice; genuine mint examples of this shade are rarely seen in any quality, let alone the premium quality of the example offered here, in fact this is the first sound original gum example that we have ever had the pleasure to offer in our auctions; 2009 PSE certificate (VF 80; $10,000.00), being the only mint o.g. example that PSE has ever graded.
