15c Red Orange (Scott 189). Mint N.H., deep rich color on bright paper, almost mathematically perfect centering, long and full perforations all around EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A MAGNIFICENT MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 15-CENT 1879 AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY ISSUE, GRADED SUPERB 98 BY P.S.E. This issue is often found in Mint N.H. condition, as several sheets have been broken in the past ten years. However, most of the stamps in these sheets are somewhat off-center, and examples such as this are very rare. P.S.E. encapsulated (Superb 98, SMQ $8,400.00).
