6c Red Orange, Bluish (Scott 362). Left imprint and plate no. 4938 block of six with wide selvage, lightly hinged, right frames slight oxidation FINE. APPROXIMATELY A DOZEN PLATE BLOCKS OF THE 6-CENT ON BLUISH ARE RECORDED. Lewis Kaufman records about a dozen plate blocks, including four from the top, seven from the left and one from the right position. A pane of 100 is also known with plate blocks at left and bottom. With 2005 P.F. certificate.

1909, 6¢ red orange, bluish paper (Scott 362), slightly disturbed o.g., lovely example of this extremely elusive 6 cent bluish paper, although the new PSE certificate describes this stamp as having “slightly disturbed o.g.”, the gum is actually quite fresh with just a minor suggestion of a faint hinge mark; a pretty stamp with outstanding color, Fine to Very Fine, 1981 P.F. and 2014 P.S.E. certificates. SMQ $1,550 in the grade of VF-XF-85. Scott $1,250. Estimate value $1,000 – 1,500.
