New-York” blue oval importer’s handstamp on piece of 1863 cover or ledger, second strike at left, light crease thru top of stamps from file fold, Very Fine appearance and unusual, Loeschick & Wesendonck were importers based at 40 Broad Street, they served as agents for some of the best woolen and silk manufacturers of Europe during the 1850’s-60’s
