Horizontal pair, deep rich color, neat circular datestamps, due to alignment problems when laying out the plate (left stamp appears “higher” than the right), the left stamp is slightly in at top and in Fine condition, whereas its neighbor to the right is essentially perfectly centered and Extremely Fine, it would be a difficult task to equal or better the right stamp for centering on this notoriously tight-margined 1c issue

ONE OF ONLY FOUR POSITIONS ON THIS ONE-CENT PLATE RECUT TWICE AT TOP AND ONCE AT BOTTOM, AND THE ONLY ONE OF THE FOUR WHICH IS A TRIPLE TRANSFER, ONE INVERTED. THIS VARIETY IS SIGNIFICANTLY RARER IN PERFORATED FORM. Accompanied by a note from Richard Celler confirming the plate position.
