Aug. 3″ circular datestamp on yellow cover to Carthage Ind., pulled perf at lower left, some overall wear, otherwise Fine, exceedingly scarce, ex Chase and Krug, with note on back from Ashbrook stating”This cover was submitted to me by Dr. Carroll Chase in June 1956 — his opinion was ‘probably a part perforated stamp but absolute proof is lacking’ I agree 100% with this opinion”, further note from Ashbrook that “This cover bears the guarantee of J.M.
