Horizontal strip of three, large to huge margins except tiny margin nick just clear of design at bottom left, deep rich color and clear impression, neat red grid cancels, trivial corner margin crease top right clear of frame line corner EXTREMELY FINE APPEARANCE. ONE OF THE FINEST AND LARGEST-MARGINED STRIPS OF THREE OF THE 5-CENT 1847 ISSUE WE HAVE ENCOUNTERED. Multiples of the 5c 1847 larger than a pair are very scarce. We have handled only a few with margins and condition comparable to that of this strip.
