A BEAUTIFUL AND RARE SOUND USED EXAMPLE OF THE 1870 12-CENT NATIONAL BANK NOTE COMPANY GRILLED ISSUE. For some reason, the 12c National Bank Note Co. Grilled Issue is an exceedingly difficult stamp to obtain with wide margins. The 12c is one of the most difficult of all of the grilled issues to obtain in higher grades. With 2006 P.S.E. certificate (VF-XF 85, SMQ $4,500.00). This is the highest grade awarded and only one other shares it.
