1870, 12¢ dull violet (Scott 151), expertly regummed, extremely large margins and splendid rich color, although the accompanying certificate calls this stamp “disturbed o.g.” it is not, the gum has been smooshed around and redistributed to try to resemble a fresh full o.g. stamp which catalogs for an impressive $2,750.00, an attractive example of this tough stamp that is completely sound and quite attractive, Very Fine, 1983 P.F. certificate calling this stamp “disturbed o.g.”. Scott $1,000. Estimate $750 – 1,000.
