10c Columbian (Scott 237). Mint N.H. bottom imprint, plate no. 99 and letter Y” at left block of eight, deep rich color and sharp proof-like impression, unusually choice centering throughout EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A MAGNIFICENT MINT NEVER-HINGED PLATE BLOCK OF THE 10-CENT COLUMBIAN ISSUE IN THE FINEST CONDITION ATTAINABLE. A review of our computerized records indicates that we have only offered two other Mint N.H. plate block of eight (as well as one plate block of six and one plate block of ten) since keeping computerized records. The MLG collection contains no less than five, which skews all previous statistics. However, the plate block offered here stands far above any other we have ever offered in terms of overall quality.
