Fair, to Readville, Mass, returned unclaimed with various Hyde Park pmks. on front and back, the largest attraction of the fair appears to be horse racing with an enclosure listing the entries in the trotting and pacing classes on each of the four days of the fair, very fine horse racing related cover.

(279BS var). 13mm long in block letters with no period, original gum, thin spot, about Fine appearance, accompanying December 1980 letter from James Hatcher, Scott Catalog Editor Emeritus, states that it “appears to be Overprint D lacking the period”, he was on the right track but failed to notice that the overprint is wider and taller than Ty. D, which is found on Official Special Printings, with 1980 P.F. certificate calling this a “279 B-S”
