Block of nine, deep rich colors, choice centering throughout, cork cancels that are not as heavy as usually seen on multiples of the 30c, center stamp small thin spots EXTREMELY FINE APPEARANCE. Choice centering with wide-spaced margins, incredibly rich and bright colors on fresh white paper, clear strike of circle of eight wedges cancel and part of red foreign transit handstamp at lower left VERY FINE AND CHOICE. A RARE SOUND EXAMPLE OF THE 30-CENT 1869 PICTORIAL INVERT WITH WIDE-SPACED TOP AND BOTTOM MARGINS AND PART OF A RED FOREIGN TRANSIT MARKING. Our published census of 30c 1869 Invert (with unpublished updates) contains a total of 44 stamps, including 7 unused and 37 used. The stamp offered here is one of five in the Wide-Spaced centering category (see Chronicle No. 138, May 1988, page 123). The Wide-Spaced stamps have extra wide top and bottom margins.
