Three wide margins and perfs well clear at left, beautiful rich colors and sharp impressions, lightly cancelled by circle of wedges, red foreign transit datestamp at lower right VERY FINE AND CHOICE SOUND EXAMPLE OF THE 24-CENT 1869 INVERT. Our published 1869 Invert census (with unpublished updates) contains 89 copies of the perforated 24c Invert, including four unused stamps and multiples. Very few are sound or as attractive as the stamp offered here. Census No. 120b-CAN-CW04. Ex Twigg-Smith and Hansen. 1970 and 2001 P.F. certificates no longer accompany. With 2012 P.S.E. certificate (F 70, SMQ value $63,500.00). Only one has graded higher to date (at 75) and only two others share this grade.
