o 1867, 3¢ rose, C. grill (83), well centered with marvelous color and a lightly struck fancy “bluebird” cancel of Rockford Ill., with matching c.d.s., fresh and Very Fine. An outstanding 3¢ C. grill. Scott price $1,250 THE EXCEPTIONALLY FRESH COLOR AND LIGHT BLUE CANCEL COMBINE TO GIVE THIS STAMP ITS LOVELY APPEAL. Expertization: 2002 PF Certificate. The Colored cancels on the 3¢ C. grill are actually quite rare. The overwhelming majority are cancelled in black, and typically fairly heavily at that.
