Block of four, rich color and detailed impression, each stamp has sharp grill points, neat strikes of oval registry cancels, top stamps faint horizontal crease, bottom right stamp two tiny tears and thin spot VERY FINE APPEARANCE. AN EXTREMELY RARE USED BLOCK OF THE 1868 24-CENT F GRILL. Approximately six used blocks of four are known. Ex Ishikawa and Twigg-Smith. Each stamp with small “W.H.C.” (Colson) backstamp. With 1979 P.F. certificate. Scott Retail $10,500.00
