15c Dark Blue (259). Bottom imprint and plate no. 52 block of six, unused (no gum), intense shade and impression, few perf separations sensibly reinforced FINE-VERY FINE. THE 15-CENT 1894 UNWATERMARKED BUREAU ISSUE IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO FIND IN PLATE BLOCK FORM, ESPECIALLY WITH SUCH CHOICE CENTERING. A review of Power Search found only two others (also from the bottom position) — one with perfs in at top and the other with perfs almost touching at top and sides. The centering of the plate block offered here is far superior to the others, and bidders may wish to overlook the lack of gum in order to obtain one with decent centering.
