1857, 3¢ dull red, type III (Scott 26), o.g., never hinged, good looking example with exceptionally large margins and tantalizing fresh color, there are a couple tiny natural inclusion specks on Washington’s ear but these are trivial in nature and in no way affect this Post Office fresh stamp’s remarkable appearance, Very Fine to Extremely Fine. Scott $65 for “hinged”. Estimate price $150 – 200.
