The dollar values of the unwatermarked Bureau issues had the top selvage cut to accommodate the available perforating machine. Therefore, no top plate numbers exist for the dollar values in any form. For the unwatermarked issue (Scott 262) the top plates were all trimmed away prior to perforating and only one plate block is recorded for the bottom position. For the watermarked issue, only five plate blocks are recorded (four from the top).
